I just finished rebuilding my computer and performed a clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. I checked for hidden devices, but there wasn’t any. Thanks for marking this as the answer. At any rate, I have a work-around in that card for now, so please don’t work overtime to try to help me.

I would start with updatingreinstalling the chipset drivers, Intel Driver Update Utility then see if it shows back in Device Manager, and then install the suadio driver. Tried all combinations of plugs.

It is a from-scratch desktop. Unfortunately, not a dual boot. It comes right back with an error saying exiterror: Similar help and support threads. If you install the USB device and tell the control panel to use it as nitel default device, it should work, regardless of the condition of the on-board one.
My OS is win7 64bit. It is driver 6. I do and then when it db33tl back up, it says to hit next to finish the installation. I might mention that if the card is disabled in the bios, it does not show up with lspci.
All of them said there is no audio device on board.
