Monday, October 11, 3: When I try to install the driver for the unknown device it comes back with it being the sound blaster game port and tries to install a driver but then comes back with a devides that it can’t find a sound blaster card and the installation ends.
Monday, December 13, 8: Office Office Exchange Server. I wanted to move my Win7 installation from my laptop to my old Dell Optiplex, but I thought I was not going to be able to unless I gave up sound or tried to use a card, and mine are all pretty old.

Win 7 won’t allow you to run the XP setup file so you will have to configure it through Device Manager by clicking update driver and direct Win 7 to the windwos folder where you downloaded the XP audio driver.

I installed it on Win 7 Thin PC bit. Unfortunately it seems to be an older model, so you’re restricted to installing Windows XP drivers.

Monday, May 17, 6: I can look in the device windowa and it shows the sound blaster card and shows that it is working OK but the system doesn’t seem to find it.
Well I have corrected all but one more problem. What is funny is that when I try to update the driver, it seems to find the driver and then tries to install but then comes back with a statement that it can’t find a sound blaster card.
